About mb prototyping Ltd.

mb prototyping Ltd. is a manufacturing and prototyping company based in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

We specialize in product design, custom silicone mold making and silicone prototyping, and support that core specialty with FDM/SLA/silicone 3D printing, small-volume injection molding, vacuum forming, CNC machining and SolidWorks CAD design.

We work with two kinds of customers, and we've built our process around both:

Product developers and startups come to us for product engineering and manufacturing support, custom silicone prototypes or molds — from a single working part through small-batch production — often alongside CAD design and consultation to get from concept to manufacturable part or mold.

Materials-research and quality-management teams, at corporations, universities, and research institutes, order standardized ASTM and ISO test specimen molds directly from our online store, in silicone or PTFE, with no custom quote required.

We custom-shape molds for non-standard specimen sizes or custom test tooling applications as well.

Our founder

mb prototyping Ltd. was founded by Marco Bassendowski, a Mechanical Engineer with multiple years of experience in roles as a Project Engineer, as well as Research and Development Engineer within the German machine construction and manufacturing environment.​​

​

Every mold and prototype is made in-house at our facility in Kingston, Ontario.

We're proud members of the Ontario Made and Made in Canada programs, and manufacture with sustainability as a stated priority.

We ship across Canada, the United States, and internationally.
