Product Description:
This precision silicone mold produces Ø75 mm × 150 mm (3 × 6 in.) cylindrical test specimens per ASTM C1856/C1856M — the standard practice for fabricating and testing Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC). The 75 × 150 mm cylinder is the mandated specimen geometry for compressive strength testing (ASTM C39/C39M), static modulus of elasticity (ASTM C469), and creep in compression (ASTM C512) of UHPC materials.
Why silicone for UHPC? UHPC self-consolidates and must not be tamped or vibrated during casting. The flexibility of our platinum-cure silicone allows the fiber-reinforced matrix to be demolded cleanly without mechanical stress, surface damage, or fiber pull-out — delivering superior end-face quality compared to rigid plastic or steel cylinder molds.

The molds are reusable.
However, silicone molds have a finite lifespan when using polyurethane or epoxy resins.
Applying a non-silicone based release agent and letting the mold rest for a few days after each use will increase the lifespan of the silicone molds.
